Roxy and I met Rachel Venning (Babeland co-owner) on Friday at Butch Voices and didn’t see her again for the rest of the weekend. Â If we had, we would have thanked her, on behalf of her company, for sending me the Rodeoh harness to review. Â It made a special appearance during one of our ‘breaks’ during the conference:
Fun for both of us
This harness is simple, comfortable, easy and sexy. Â When I first mounted up, I was a bit concerned about the placement of the cock base. Â My regular harness is a Jaguar, which places the cock base on my clit, and I’ve become accustomed to how easily I can get off with that placement. Â My next concern was that the O-Ring was not interchangeable, and wondered how well it would secure cocks of various diameters. Â And finally, I was concerned about how the cock would ‘handle’ in that harness. Â Control and accurate placement are a must when one is getting hot and heavy.
None of those concerns turned out to be of any merit. Â The fit was great, snug and comfy as a pair of briefs. Â That great fit held the cock in place and I had no sensation that it was pulling away from my body on the out-stroke. Â We started with a cock diameter smaller than the O-Ring, but again, that was no issue. Â The cock stayed right where it started. Â The difference in position relative to my mound was also not a problem. Even though the base was an inch or so above my clit, it felt really good and I got off easily while making love to Roxy.
Both Roxy and I noticed that the change in cock position did alter our approach and stroke a bit. Â It’s not a huge downside, just something to be aware of if you’ve gotten accustomed to positioning offered by other harnesses.
A huge plus, and a feature touted by Babeland, is ease-of-use. Â Putting the Rodeoh harness on is as easy as slipping on your underwear. Â Frustrated that having to take time to adjust and tighten your harness straps breaks the mood? Â Try the Rodeoh. Â Share a harness with your partner but have to readjust for each of you? With the Rodeoh, it’ll take just a moment to switch off and be back in action again.
Feeling guilty that you don’t give your leather harness the love and care it deserves between uses (*raises hand*), the Rodeoh goes into the wash with the rest of your clothes. Â And though there is a warning about shrinkage if you run it through the dryer, you could just buy slightly large and not worry about it. Â Mine has been through a full wash and dry cycle and is none the worse for it.
Specifications:
- XS: 23″-26″ hip
- Small: 25″-29″ hip
- Medium: 30″-34″ hip
- Large: 34″-37″ hip
- XL: 37″-40″ hip
- O-ring: 1-1/4″-2″ diameter (stretch)
- Material: Cotton, Spandex
- Machine- or hand-wash cold (hang to dry; dryer will shrink harness up to one size)
I really like Rodeoh, though it’s hard to think of it as a harness. Â It’s a cock-brief, or perhaps a cock-holder 😉 . Â The Rodeoh is comfortable, easy to pull on, holds a strap-on cock securely in place and looks damned sexy. Â The only downsides are that the O-Ring might be too small or large to accommodate some of your cocks. Â Though the specs say it will stretch to 2″, my Mr. Bendy – shown in the picture – is 1 1/2″ thick and took some work to pull into that ring. Â Another potential issue is placement. Â I was able to adjust my stroke and focus my pleasure to that different position, but others may find that transition difficult.
At $45, it’s about half as expensive as a black Jaguar, but it remains to be seen how long the elastic and structure of the brief will hold out. Â I think it’s still worth the price, especially if you are frustrated with the time it takes to get in and out of traditional harnesses, and it’s definitely a great purchase for couples who like to share in the strap-on fun.
For comfort, utility, ease-of-use, good looks and price, the Rodeoh harness gets 5 boots from me.
