Thankful…

I am thankful for my beautiful family, my two wonderful daughters and my gorgeous wife, who has been loving and supporting me for over 16 years.

I’m thankful for my beautiful girlfriend, who is so much more than a girlfriend, loving and inspiring me for over a year now.

I’m thankful for my friends, the geeks and the freaks, the kinksters and the elementary school parents, my neighbors and all the cool people who make this community such a great place to live.

I’m thankful for my job, allowing me to support my family and afford us some fun on top of survival.

I’m thankful for my community, quirky and creative, liberal and conservative, not small town, but not too big.  This is where I grew up and where I continue to grow and thrive.

I am thankful for my parents, my mother who isn’t always easy but loves her family fiercely, and my father, who taught me how a man could be strong and sensitive and loyal and charming.. and so much more.

I’m thankful for the women who have shared my bed and my heart, you’ve each taught me something and I’m eternally grateful for the precious time we shared.

I’m thankful for hot water in my shower and hot coffee in my cup.  I’m thankful for clean clothes and a dirty mind.

I’m thankful to the universe for seeing fit to bestow upon me a positive outlook, an optimistic heart and the ability to recognize opportunities when they present themselves.

I’m thankful for you, my readers who have kept this blog alive and vital for over a year now;  for the people who leave comments, who email me and let me know they appreciate my stories, my truth.

I’m thankful for the excellent friendships I have, the ones in the flesh and the ones that manifest as words and pictures on a screen.. they all entertain and teach and encourage me, and make life worth living.
